Terms of Business / Conditions of Service
Effective Date: 2 June 2025

1. Overview

This document outlines the Terms of Business for services delivered by Reconnect to Origin, an Aboriginal-owned cultural wellness offering operated by Belinda Harvey. By booking a session, workshop, or service, you agree to the terms outlined in this agreement.

Reconnect to Origin provides culturally grounded wellness experiences, including but not limited to Wayapa on Sacred Ground, with the highest level of integrity, safety, and cultural respect. These terms are designed to protect the wellbeing of both facilitator and participants, ensure transparency, and honour the values at the heart of this offering.

2. Cultural Disclaimer

Reconnect to Origin acknowledges that all cultural teachings shared through its offerings are provided with the blessing and cultural consent of a respected Elder on whose Country we gather. These experiences are led by a Bidjara woman and Wayapa Wuurrk Practitioner with lived experience, training, and community connection.

While the sessions include storytelling, movement, and cultural reflection, they do not replace or override the sacred role of Elders in community. Elders are the spiritual and cultural knowledge holders, and their role must always be upheld and respected. Participants are encouraged to seek, maintain, or deepen relationships with local Elders wherever possible as part of their own learning journey.

3. Bookings, Cancellations & Refunds

All session bookings must be confirmed via email or through an official online form. A deposit or full payment may be required to secure a place.

Cancellations made more than 72 hours prior to the scheduled session will be eligible for a full refund or the opportunity to reschedule. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the session are non-refundable due to the preparation of materials, time allocation, and limited participant spots.

No-shows or cancellations received within 72 hours of the scheduled session will result in no refund.

In the event of a cancellation initiated by Reconnect to Origin due to weather conditions, cultural obligations, or unforeseen circumstances, participants will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at a later date.

To request a cancellation or change your booking, please email bel@reconnecttoorigin.com with your full name, booking details, and reason for the request.

4. Participation & Responsibility

Wayapa on Sacred Ground is a movement- and reflection-based experience held outdoors. All participants are expected to attend in suitable attire and with an awareness of their personal physical and emotional capacity.

The practice involves standing movement, mild activity, and time on the ground. Participants with health concerns, injuries, or accessibility needs are encouraged to communicate in advance so that accommodations can be made. Reconnect to Origin is not liable for injury, emotional discomfort, or loss of personal property unless negligence can be demonstrated.

Children under 16 are welcome with parental supervision and must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

5. Privacy & Confidentiality

Reconnect to Origin honours the privacy of all participants. Personal information collected through bookings, intake forms, or communication will only be used for administrative, duty-of-care, and emergency purposes.

All information is kept confidential and securely stored. Testimonials, photos, or participant reflections will never be used publicly without the explicit and written consent of the individual involved. Consent is always optional and can be withdrawn at any time.

6. Use of Materials & Merchandise

During your session, you may receive printed materials, cultural reflections, or educational handouts. These resources remain the intellectual property of Reconnect to Origin and are offered for personal use only.

Reproduction, distribution, or modification of any content or materials provided—whether for commercial use or otherwise—is not permitted without written approval. Gift bag items (such as weaving kits, food samples, or water bottles) are offered to enhance your experience and are not to be rebranded or resold.

7. Respectful Conduct

All Reconnect to Origin experiences are facilitated with a commitment to cultural safety, inclusivity, and emotional care. Participants are asked to show up with an open heart, respect for others, and a willingness to engage in a sacred space.

Disruptive, disrespectful, or culturally inappropriate behaviour—toward the facilitator, other participants, or the land—will not be tolerated. Reconnect to Origin reserves the right to refuse service or remove individuals from any session without refund if behaviour compromises the safety or sanctity of the space.

8. Governing Law

These Terms of Business are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be resolved through respectful dialogue in the first instance and, if necessary, through appropriate legal channels within Queensland jurisdiction.
